Demetris A. Tsingis founded FINCAP Advisers in late 2016 as its Managing Partner, previously serving as a Partner heading the Financial Regulation & Advisory, London Office and Executive Academy departments in one of the leading advisory firms of Cyprus. Demetris holds a BSc in Government & Economics (LSE) and an MBA with Honours in Finance, Entrepreneurial Management and Private Equity & Venture Capital (Wharton Business School) with a Fulbright Scholarship. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), a practicing member of the ICPAC Cyprus and of the ICAEW UK, a CYSEC advanced examination holder, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments (MCSI), an approved HRDA External Trainer and a licensed Mediator amongst other qualifications. He further is a part-time PhD candidate in Entrepreneurship with Warwick Business School.
Demetris worked on Private Equity and Investment Banking clients during his time at Arthur Andersen/Deloitte in London, in M&A in BNP Paribas New York, Private Banking in Bank of Cyprus before returning to the financial advisory space in 2013 specializing on investment funds, investment firms and payment services working with regulators across the globe such as CySEC, CBC, MFSA, FCA, AMF Canada, SEC US, CIMA Cayman, FSA Seychelles, IFSC Belize, ASIC Australia and FSMA Belgium. Demetris has served as a local Councillor of Strovolos Municipality (2007-2016), a board member of the Nicosia Sewerage Board (2012-2016) and as President of COOP Bank Strovolou in 2014. Demetris is currently serving as the Founding President of the Kuwait Cyprus Business Association of the CCCI, is a Fellow of the Cyprus International Institute of Management since 2006 and a lecturer in the Cyprus Entrepreneurship Competition since 2007. Furthermore, he is also serving as a member of the Public Entities Committee of the ICPAC and of the Fund Administration & Custody Services Committee of the CIFA. In 2018 he was further appointed as a board member of the National Betting Authority and as the first Honorary Consul of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Cyprus.
